Operational Support
Member dues, combined with program revenue, account for just 40% of the organization’s overall budget. The remaining 60% is supported by individual donors, sponsors and foundations. To secure LLA’s position in the community – and to help LLA further increase its positive impact on Indianapolis – philanthropic investments are required to augment member dues and program revenue. Through general operational support in the form of cash donations and planned giving instruments, LLA will be able to maintain current program fees, as well as expand member benefits and member programming.
Additional philanthropic support will enable LLA to enhance member programming, expand community outreach and develop a system of leadership cadres that address Indianapolis’ most pressing issues. This innovative programming, which is beyond what member dues support, will enable members to do even more in and for the community. There is a need to take the emerging system of cadres to a higher level. In addition to cadres, there are other exciting, creative opportunities to harness the talents of LLA members for the betterment of greater Indianapolis. Philanthropic support for such initiatives will provide personnel and technology resources that better leverage the skills and expertise of community-minded LLA members.
